Before I begin writing  this, I want to give you this link, so that you can hear the entire interview yourself, to verify that I am not “misquoting “Iman Feisal Abdul Rauf”:  http://www.floppingaces.net/2010/09/09/imam-rauf-on-larry-king-live-with-soledad-obrian/

In watching this man speak, I see that he has this “kind” smile, this “soft” manner of speaking, and he seems so concerned about what is happening with the protests against the building of the Mosque near Ground Zero.  But I learned a long time ago that it is not always necessary to fear the big man with  the loud voice; it is the smiling little “big-hearted” guy with the soft hands and the soft voice who will steal your wallet while he shakes your hand, or shoot you dead while he tells you what a “great guy” he thinks you are.  You don’t look for danger from this kind of guy, and that it their greatest weapon!

Feisal just returned from a trip around the Muslim world, and I have no doubt that he was out building support for the building of the Mosque, while our tax dollars paid his expenses, telling muslims that they need to stand against us on this, to make us back down and let him build his “Trophy Mosque”, to allow a center for hatred against Christians to stand just two blocks away from the site of major death and catastrophe to America!  Let me just share a couple of quotes from him, and my ideas of what he is really talking about:

1.  “Radical discourse that has just hijacked the discourse in our country, and in the rest of the world!  Politicians use this for political purposes!”  He is trying to shift the blame off of himself, for wanting to build the mosque so near to Ground Zero, and put it on the “radicals”, the family members who don’t want this to happen, and a couple of un-named Conservative politicians.  We are the problem makers, not him; right!

2.  “If we move from that location, the headlines will be that the “radicals” ( We, the American citizens ) have taken over the discourse, and in the muslim world the headlines will be that the muslims are “under attack”!”  In other words; if we stand for our rights as Americans, the majority of Americans in this country, we will force the muslims to feel that we are attacking them!  I’m sorry, but haven’t we been fighting two wars because of the endless attacks by muslims against Americans for over 40 years?  Didn’t all of this start when muslims flew two planes into the Twin Towers, one into the Pentagon, and a fourth was forced to crash in Pennsylvania because the people on the plane fought to keep them from taking out another target?  And we are supposed to worry that they will feel that we are “attacking them”?  What about our constant worries that they are going to attack us again, spurred on by their public protests in Europe, chanting out “Death to America, Death to Americans!”

3.  “The danger from the radicals in the Muslim world to our national security, to the security of our troops, the concern for American citizens who work and travel overseas will be increasingly be compromised if the “radicals” ( American citizens.  Notice how he refers to patriotic American citizens, and radical muslim terrorists, as both being “radical”! ) are strengthened and, if we do move, it will strengthen the ability of the radicals to recruit, and their violence to our country!”  If that isn’t an “out-and-out” threat, I have never heard one!  If we stand up against the radical muslims, they will build their forces and strengthen their violence to our country!  As I said; the quiet, smiling guys always threaten extreme danger “gently”, like the Godfather telling some underling: “Joe, if you don’t do what I have asked you to do, your family will wind up dead!”

4.  In building the mosque in the unwelcome area, he stated that “This  is our time, and our turn”, then he continued trying to make is sound like a muslim YMCA!  Muslims believe that they are taking over the world, which they are doing a pretty good job of, right now, and they believe that they have the power to command what they want to happen, and we had better listen, or else!

5.  “Our national security, now, hinges on how we negotiate this, how we speak about it, and what we do.  If we move, that means the radicals ( Patriotic Americans ) have shaped the discourse, and the radicals will shape the discourse on both sides, and those of us who are moderates see the battlefront is not between muslims and non-muslims; the real battlefront is between moderates and all sides of all the faith traditions and the radicals on all sides!”  It is not the “peaceful Mullahs” whom we need to be concerned about, it is the Patriots on the American side, who are standing against the radical muslims who killed our people on 9/11!   They are the ones that need our full support!  Those mullahs don’t care about American lives, or the rest of the Christian world; their end game is spelled out in the Quran, they want to rid the world of the “infidels”: Us!  I’m sorry; but weren’t the terrorists given a “fatwa” by their clerics, to go out and kill Americans?  When was the last time you can remember a Christian Reverand ordering a “fatwa” for anything, much less for killing mulims?  Just exactly how many muslims have been killed in NYC by the “radical” Patriotic Americans who peacefully protest against the mosque?  Big difference, right?

6.  “Radicals feed off each other and, in some kind of existential way, need each other, and the more that the radicals are able to control the discourse, on one side, the more it strengthens the radicals on the other side, and vice-versa!”  On this, I have to partially agree with him; he makes it sound like we started this, but we didn’t!  It all started on 9/11/01, and it was the radical muslim terrorists that caused this all to begin, by massacring over 3,000 American, in the name of their Holy War, and we are just responding to all of the hatred and anger they have been throwing at us ever since!  Did their actions cause our citizens to stand up against this mosque?  Hell yes!  And will we back down now, because this cleric tells us that we need to be “kinder, gentler people”?  Hell no!  They started this, and we will finish it!

This mullah is doing no more than trying to build a power base in NYC, trying to build a Trophy Mosque where muslims will be able to bow to Allah, and show their disgust for Americans in the one spot in the world that means more to every American as a “line in the sand” against the muslims!  He says he “will not take money from Iran”, yet he already has, and will continue to do so, only “under the table” so as not to look like he has lied!  He has spent our money on his latest worldwide trip, building up support for this mosque, and he has been fanning the embers of the fire, getting it ready to ignite into a blaze!  Do not bow down to this man’s lies, do not lose your pride in our country, and our people; stand strong as one nation, stand strong against those who wish to “Kill America” and destroy the American way of life!  This is the “line in the sand”; do not let them cross it!  One more victory against us may be the final step to them attacking us with their full power; we need to show them that the “Sleeping Giant” is not asleep, anymore!

  1. John Ryan says:

In my opinion all of this would be a lot simpler if we were attacked by a country and could retaliate against that country in full force but instead we were attacked by a religious group with members from many countries as well as many citizens within our own borders now with many Mosques and links to their “Home” countries, in short possible or probably enemies in our midst.

How this was allowed to get to this point is obviously the fault of immigration policies that were changed to favor non european immigration and now look what we have as a result.

An old saying used to be common to us and said “America, Love it or Leave it”.. That should help us decide who stays and who goes and we should do what France is doing, round up the trouble makers and send them back where they came from, not happy here try it back where you came from AGAIN!

  2. Gerry in STL says:

Hell, let them build it, if they can find American union workers who will work at the site. Guaranteed the site will be constantly vandalized. And if it is completed, I would not be surprised, in this day and age, that someone will fly a plane into it. Remember the plane flown into the office building in Texas this year? It’s just that nothing surprises me anymore these days.

  3. John Ryan says:

A bit of history you can draw your own conclusions from compliments of a contact not far from Ground Zero.

In 630, Muhammad led 10,000 Muslim soldiers into Mecca and turned the pagans’ most prominent spot, the Ka’aba, into the Masjid al-Haram Mosque. In 634, Rightly Guided Caliph Umar conquered Syria and turned the Christians’ most prominent spot, the Church of Job, famous for being visited by Saint Silva in the fourth century, into the Mosque of Job.

In 637, Caliph Umar conquered Hebron and turned the second-most prominent spot in Judaism, the Cave of the Patriarchs, into the Ibrahimi Mosque.
(This was repeated by Saladin in 1188.) In 638, Muslim generals Amr ibn al-As and Khalid ibn al-Walid conquered Gaza and turned the prominent fifth-century Byzantine church into the Great Mosque of Gaza.

In 638, Caliph Umar conquered Jerusalem. In 691, Caliph Al-Malik ordered the Dome of the Rock built on the most prominent spot in Judaism, the Temple Mount, followed by Caliph Al-Walid building the Al-Aqsa Mosque there in 705. In 651, Muslims conquered Persia and turned Zoroastrian temples in Bukhara and Istakhr into mosques. In 706, after Muslims took Damascus from the Byzantine Empire, Caliph Al-Walid turned the prominent Orthodox Church of St. John the Baptist into the Umayyad Mosque.

In 710, Gen. Muhammad bin Qasim conquered Pakistan, defiled the prominent Sun Temple in Multan, which house the great idol “sanam,” and erected a mosque. In 784, after the conquest of Spain, Emir And AR-Rahman turned the prominent Visigothic Christian Church of Saint Vincent into the Great Aljama Mosque of Cordoba.

After the conquest of Egypt, Caliphs al-Mamun (813-833) and al-Hakim
(996–1021) turned prominent Coptic Christian churches and Jewish synagogues in Cairo into mosques. In 831, Muslims conquered Palermo, Sicily, and Asad ibn al-Furat turned the prominent Church of Saint Mary of the Assumption into the Great Mosque of Bal’harm.

In 1193, Muslims conquered Delhi, India, and Qutbuddin Aibak turned the Red Citadel in Dhillika, the most prominent spot of the last Hindu rulers, into the Qutb Minar Mosque. From 1250-1517, Mamluk Muslims controlled the Golan Heights and used the ancient Synagogue of Katzrin as a mosque.

In 1387, Turkish Muslims conquered Thessaloniki and turned the Katholikon Monastery and the Church of Aghia Sophia, which housed the relics of Saint Gregorios Palamas, into mosques, as Symeon of Thessaloniki recorded:

“The greatest number of the buildings of the churches fell to them, of which the first was the Holy Church of the Savior. … These were trampled underfoot and the infidels rejoiced in them. … Most of the religious buildings in the city were despoiled, while altars were demolished and sacred things profaned.”

On May 29, 1453, Sultan Mehmet II conquered Constantinople and turned the great Byzantine church, Hagia Sophia, into the Ayasofya Mosque. The largest church in Christendom for a thousand years, the church’s four acres of gold mosaics were covered with whitewash and Quran verses.

In 1458, Sultan Mehmet II conquered Athens and turned the Greeks’ most prominent spot, the Parthenon on Acropolis hill, into a mosque. When Venetian Gen. Francesco Morosini drove the Muslims out in 1687, a cannonball hit the gunpowder stored in the mosque, blowing it up.

In the 15th century, Ottoman invaders turned Saint Clement’s Macedonian Orthodox Monastery in Plaosnik, Balkans, into the Imater Mosque. From 1519-1858, Muslim Mughal rulers gained control of India and turned over 2,000 Hindu temples into mosques, including demolishing the Temple of Ram Janmabhoomi in Ayodhya, the birthplace of Rama, and replacing it with the Babri Mosque. India’s Mughal Muslim ruler, Jahangir (1605-1627), wrote in Tujuk-I-Jahangiri:

“At the city of Banaras [was] a temple. … I made it my plea for throwing down the temple … and on the spot, with the very same materials, I erected the great mosque.” In 1543, Hayreddin Barbarossa’s 30,000 Muslim troops wintered in Toulon, France, and turned the prominent Toulon Cathedral into a mosque.

In 1570, under Sultan Selim II Khan, Muslims conquered Paphos, Cyprus, and Gov. Mehmet Bey Ebubkir turned the prominent Christian church into the Great Mosque of Paphos.

In 1571, Muslims invaded Famagusta, Cyprus, and turned Saint Nicolas Cathedral, a rare Gothic church, into the Lala Mustafa Pasha Mosque, and Saint Sophia Cathedral in Nicosia, constructed in 1228, into the Selimiye Mosque. In 1588, Sultan Murat III turned the Eastern Orthodox Church of Saint John the Forerunner in Constantinople into the Hirami Ahmet Pasha Mosque.

In 1781, after having conquered the Old City of Acre, Ottoman Muslims turned the Roman Catholic church built by Crusaders into the Jezzar Ahmet Pasha Mosque, where a hair from Muhammad’s beard is preserved. In 1923, Muslims expelled Greeks from Turkey and turned Orthodox churches into mosques.

In World War II, Nazis allied with Bosnians and turned the prominent Artists’ Gallery Museum in Zagreb, Croatia, into a mosque. In the 1950s, Muslims expelled Jews from Arab lands and turned synagogues into mosques.

Algerian Muslims warred against French colonial rule till France pulled out in 1962, after which the Cathedral of St. Philippe was turned into the Ketchaoua Mosque. Violence against Jews caused 30,000 to flee and the Great Synagogue of Oran was turned into the Mosque Abdellah Ben Salem. In 1974, Turkish Muslims invaded northern Cyprus, and prominent Greek Orthodox churches were turned into mosques.

In 1981, Muslim immigrants to the Netherlands converted Amsterdam’s historic Catholic Sint-Ignatiuskerk into the Fatih Mosque, and a synagogue in The Hague into the Aksa Mosque. On Sept. 11, 2001, Muslim terrorists attacked the most prominent spot in America, the World Trade Center. In less than 10 years, the number of mosques in New York City has skyrocketed to over 140.

Now you tell me, is this Cordoba mosque planned for Ground Zero a legitimate place for Muslim worship or a monument to the successful attack on the Twin Towers and the killing of nearly 3,000 infidels? When considered in the context of history the answer is clear. It is to be a monument to a Muslim victory.
